Originally Gero conceived the Skippa as a small wave/beach break shortboard. Generally speaking beachies offer various sections to play with. You also often find flat sections you have to pump through to keep the board moving. Therefore a versatile board is key. The Skippa will help you over the flat sections and still has the responsive, tight turn manoeuvrability you need in beach breaks.
The modern shape with it’s generally flatter rocker-line, more width and greater volume than an average shortboard make it your perfect everyday craft. The wide but still thin squash-tail gives you more acceleration in small mush and offers you a lot of speed in perfect glassy conditions. The special feature of the Skippa is the single to double concave blending into a spiral-vee in the last five-inches of the board. This makes the board really agile and quick in rail to rail transition.
